Here’s why we think safety is SO important…
Hi! It’s Meg and Mike of Wise Owl Safety.
Our safety journey has been over 20 years in the making providing safety tips and tools to men, women and families. We recognize that tips and tools really go hand-in-hand; tools are so much more valuable when paired with simple safety advice.
However, there is another powerful reason why promoting the word of safety is so important to us. It’s something I think almost every father and mother can relate to.
It was Meg’s Dad who actually started our online safety store, Pepper Spray Store, over 20 years ago for one very specific reason. In just a few short years, his only daughter (Meg) was moving out of the house as a young college student.
He worried greatly for her safety out in the world without his protection. Providing her with self defense spray was one small safeguard that gave him peace-of-mind that she could protect herself if necessary.
With most self defense and safety products hard to find locally, he wanted to make these “peace-of-mind” products more accessible to other families through an online store. That’s how the Pepper Spray Store was born.
In 2006, we sadly and suddenly lost Meg’s Dad but we’ve continued the safety business with the same passion as he had. We are inspired to keep his commitment to safety alive. We truly have a passion for providing everyone’s child, parent, spouse, or loved one with the safety tips and tools they need.
We have really learned a lot about staying safe over the last 20+ years and this is one place we decided to share as much of it as we can.
