Spring break can be lots of fun, as long as you stay smart and safe. Do your homework on rip currents and rip tides, and the tricks for getting out of them — they present a serious drowning risk. Don’t share too much information about your activities on social media, but do make sure you have a good traveler’s insurance policy in place. Make sure you have your vaccines and passport ahead of time, and bring some cash and some emergency contact information.
