The color of safety: Safety vest implemented on buses to keep Simpson County students safe – Bowling Green Daily News

Simpson County Schools are implementing the wearing of safety vest for kindergartner and preschool age bus riders.  Children this young tend to need extra supervision while getting off the bus.  The safety vests will make them more visible to drivers if they linger crossing the street.  The safety vest implementation came after a child in a nearby county was hit by a car after getting off the bus and crossing the street.
